Mijn naam is Nathan Hersisia en mijn verhaal kwam ook o.a in de Telegraaf terecht en Antiliaans dagblad, ik doe het even in het engels....
Nathan Hersisia, an international entrepreneur, artist, medical social coach and
preacher of God's word was wrongly arrested by the police during his vacation
on the island of Curaçao. After he was chased by several helicopters police
handcuffed him and physically abused the innocent man. The Curaçao police
mistook him for a psychiatric patient named "MOMON" who had reportedly
escaped from the "Capriles" facility in the Carribeans. Despite his protests and
attempts to confirm his identity, officers dismissed his claims and injected him
with an unknown substance, leading to his detainment and leaving him
traumatized and with serious injuries.
Nathan cried while hardly being able to breathe: "please bring me to my mother to
confirm my real identity." His mother, who lives on the island, was only five minutes
away. One of the officers harshly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt saying: " if you
dare to talk one more time i'll beat your chest with my feet, let's see if you're still
talking after that. Every day you have a new name Momon, whilst they are looking
for the escaped Momon for 40 days in a row now.
One of the officers harshly grabbed him by the collar of his shirt saying:
" if you dare to talk one more time i'll beat your chest with my feet, let's
see if you're still talking after that."
Nathan just arrived from Bonaire with his family to continue his vacation and mission
trip, inspiring souls through the word of God and organizing gospel events on the
island.
During the ordeal, a Christian doctor (who later apologized) sedated Nathan without
his consent, injecting him with Valium/diazepam and other drugs, assuming he was
the missing patient. Nathan awoke in prison, severely traumatized and confused.
When he later confronted the doctor with his ID, the doctor realized the grave error
he had made. He slammed his hands on his desk in shock and apologized sincerely.
Nathan, already struggling with a burnout and post-COVID recovery, now faces a
lengthy rehabilitation process requiring electroshock therapy every two days. As a
self-employed freelancer (ZZP), he is forced to cover all costs himself during the
upcoming seven months, including medical bills, legal fees, rent, physiotherapy, and
social coaching, to be able to process his trauma. He appeals for financial aid,
prayers, and encouragement to survive this period.
Despite the injustice, Nathan emphasizes forgiveness, praying for the police and
doctors involved and advocating for a better system and training to prevent future
mistakes in the country. The case gained wide media attention; Channel 8 News, tv
13 and many articles in the Carribeans and also in the Dutch media such as De
Telegraaf. He hopes his story will bring about systemic change.
Nathan trusts in his faith, declaring: "all things work together for good for those who
love God,”while seeking practical support to rebuild his life.
