Dear Donors,
It has been quite some time since we last provided an update. This is because we have been extremely busy helping those that we set out to help post hurricane Irma. Thus far we have successfully completed two projects, made countless connections with others that have helped towards rebuilding Sint Maarten and we are excited to share this news with you!
Project 1, which took place in March 2018, focussed on providing play schools with school materials, schools with sporting equipment for their gym classes and the National Institute of Arts with gymnastic equipment. More information can be found in the press release made by the Daily Herald. Would you like to read more about it, click here!
Project 2, which was just recently finalised, consisted of amazing partnerships and happy children starting off the school year with confidence. Partnerships were made with the Sint Maarten Development Fund and a local bank. Over 400 at-risk-children, in 17 different schools, were given new school uniforms. Information received was collected by the principals and teachers of each school. A press release was written and it can be viewed here.
In between these projects the team at Rebuildsxm solidified more funding that would go directly to a local school. Article can be read here.
Published the full year financial figures of 2017 (Only in Dutch). These can be viewed here.
At the moment a team member of Rebuildsxm is on Sint Maarten to distribute the remaining sports equipment and school materials to those that can use it best.
At this point we still have sufficient funding to execute more projects. We will keep working hard to help those that need it the most. Thank you for your continued support!
