Last Sunday my good friend, Alex Pothecary, came back from his summer holiday with his kids and partner Iris. After working hard for the last year it was a well deserved rest for all of them.
Within minutes of arriving home they realised that their shed had been broken into and ALL of Alex´s tools had been stolen. The total value of the tools adds up to at least €8000.- plus the upset it has caused and the loss of work due to not having the right tools. Seeing that Alex has a lot of work lined up this will mean a significant loss of income until they have all been replaced.
Needless to say this incident has caused a lot of upset, also because this is the second time he has been robbed in the last year.
It seems quite likely that the insurance will not cover the cost of the new tools and without tools no work and no income.
Alex has lost everything he needs, the list is endless. He would be the last person to ask for help so I hope all of his friends and family are willing to chip in, even if it is only the smallest amount. Every euro helps.
It may be ambitious to get the full €8000.- together but if we can at least come part of the way it will make a real difference.
