Help Us Build Tichi — An AI Companion for Students and Immigrants
My name is Saman, and for more than 14 years I have worked as an English teacher and language mentor with students from different countries and backgrounds.
Learning a new language changed my life. But I also experienced how difficult and lonely the journey can be — especially for people who move to another country for education, work, or a better future.
Over the years, after teaching hundreds of students, I noticed the same problem again and again:
Most people do not simply need lessons.
They need someone beside them.
Someone they can practice with every day.
Someone who helps them speak without fear.
Someone who makes communication with the outside world less stressful.
This idea became the beginning of Tichi.
We are building an AI-powered companion designed to help people learn languages through real conversation, daily interaction, and continuous support — especially for immigrants and international students who struggle with confidence and communication in a new country.
Our goal is not only to build technology.
We want to make language learning more human, accessible, and emotionally supportive.
The funds will help us build our first prototype, improve the AI system, develop the hardware, legally establish the company, and most importantly, help more students and immigrants eventually access this technology regardless of their financial situation.
We truly believe no one should feel isolated simply because they cannot yet speak the language around them.
