Tijdens het project gaat stichting BOZporus met een groep van 40 vrijwilligers naar Kosovo (op hun eigen kosten). Eenmaal in Kosovo aangekomen, richten wij ons op de provincie Vushtrri. Vushtrri is een van de provincies die het zwaarst is getroffen door de oorlog in Kosovo en heeft daarom het meest onze hulp nodig. Er zijn veel dorpen rondom Vushtrri waarbij de scholen zijn vernield tijdens de oorlog. Hierdoor zijn alle herinneringen van deze vreselijke tijd nog van de muren af te lezen voor deze kinderen. Ons doel is dan ook om deze herinneringen te vervangen door kleur in het schoolgebouw.

Het uitkiezen van de school is door het bestuur nauwkeurig uitgevoerd. Hierbij is er gelet op de situatie van de school, het aantal leerlingen en de kwaliteit van het onderwijs. De scholen zijn vrijwel allemaal getroffen door de oorlog en/of door armoede. Het basisschoolproject van 2017 staat in het teken van basisschool Rilandja! Via contacten met de regionale gemeente is er voor gezorgd dat de leerlingen van de school een week vrij krijgen tussen 14 en 21 oktober. During this project, foundation BOZporus, will head to Kosovo with a group of about 40 volunteers. We do this out of our own pockets. Once arrived in Kosovo, we will head to the province Vushtrri. This provence was damaged a lot during the war in Kosovo and needs our attention the most. A lot of schools in the villages are severely damaged, but that doesn't mean that these schools are not in use. No, kids go to these schools daily and feel the war that has raged in there. That's why our goal is to bring colour and joy into the school instead of bulletholes and terror.

The board has chosen an elementary school in Vushtrri with great care. Factors such as the situation of the school, the number of students and the quality of the education have been taken into account. And such, elementary school Rilandja has been chosen this year!
