Esther in Action for Education in India

🇳🇱 Elke dag mag ik mijn passie uitvoeren: werken in het onderwijs. Ik geniet van het werken met en voor jonge, enthousiaste en leergierige studenten. Samen met ons docenten kunnen zij dagelijks werken aan hun (talent)ontwikkeling, kennis opdoen en dit in de praktijk brengen. Fantastisch!

Dit is in Nederland een vanzelfsprekendheid die niet overal ter wereld ook zo is. In ontwikkelingslanden gaan miljoenen kinderen niet naar school of stoppen vroegtijdig. Ook is het onderwijs niet altijd van een goed niveau.
Ik wil graag mijn passie voor het onderwijs en mijn kennis hiervan delen, en een bijdrage leveren aan goed onderwijs in een ontwikkelingsland. Daarom ga ik in oktober van dit jaar als World Teacher via de organisatie Edukans naar India. Ik combineer hiermee twee liefdes in mijn leven: uiteraard die voor het onderwijs, maar ook die voor India. Al acht keer ben ik in dit prachtige land geweest, en al acht keer heb ik mijn hart verloren.
Ik hoop dat ik met mijn bijdrage het onderwijs daar en mijn eigen ontwikkeling een klein beetje verder kan helpen.

🇺🇸 Every day I have the opportunity to carry out my passion: to work in education. I enjoy working with and for young, enthusiastic and inquisitive students. Together with us teachers they can work on their (talent) development, gain knowledge and put this into practice every day. Fantastic!
In The Netherlands we take education for granted, it is normal. Sadly this is not the case in many places in the world. In developing countries millions of children do not go to school or drop out early. The educational system is also not always of a good quality.

I very much like to share my passion for education and my knowledge of it, and with that contribute to good education in a developing country. I therefore go to India as a World Teacher through the organisation Edukans in October of this year. By doing this I combine two loves in my life: of course my love for education, but also my love for India. I have visited this beautiful country eight times already, and all eight times I fell in love all over again.
I hope to help education in India and my own development a little bit further by means of my contribution.
