My name is Martinson. I was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. Today, I turn to you with a heart full of hope, a healthy dose of vulnerability, and a big dream that is currently hanging by a thread.
I recently received life-changing news: I have been officially admitted to the Online MSc in Sustainability Management at the prestigious Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University.
Because I come from Ghana, a country where the consequences of climate change and environmental challenges are deeply felt every day, this degree is not just a diploma to me. It is an instrument to bring about real change. My dream is to become a leader who contributes to a positive, sustainable future where it is needed most.
The enormous hurdle I am currently facing
Although my academic efforts have ensured that the doors of one of Europe's best universities are open to me, reality has caught up with me hard. The total cost of this Master's program amounts to €19,000, divided into several installments.
Because I have to finance this study entirely myself, this amount is an astronomically high mountain for me to climb. In Ghana, it is almost impossible to secure such a large amount of funding independently. Without help, I cannot pay the installments, my admission will be cancelled, and this dream will slip through my fingers.
I am doing everything I can to save, but I simply cannot do this alone. I need help.
How your donation helps
Every euro raised through this campaign goes directly towards my tuition fees, so that I can remain enrolled. The immediate focus is on being able to pay the upcoming installments for the academic year:
Total tuition fees: €19,000
Payment: This will be paid in installments during 2026 and 2027.
My promise to you
Asking for financial help is incredibly difficult and a daunting step for me. But I believe so strongly in the power of education and the impact I can make with this master's.
If you decide to invest in me, you are not only contributing to tuition fees; you are investing in a young, driven student from Ghana who is determined to give back to the world. I promise to work extremely hard, excel in my studies, and keep you updated on my progress via this platform.
Whether you can spare €5 or €50, or would like to share this page within your own network—every action brings me one step closer to the start of my studies in September.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story and for believing in my future.
With deep gratitude,
Martinson
