Iedereen voelde zich er welkom, en als het te laat werd, bleef je er slapen: Het thuis van Wendy en Matiss in Hoogblokland. Twee harde werkers die 2025 niet slechter konden beginnen. Ze woonden klein, in een particuliere huurwoning in de schuur van een oude boerderij getimmerd. Iets groters was er voor hun budget niet, maar ze waren er blij mee en deelden in alles. In de nacht van 3 op 4 januari brandde het hele pand af, inclusief hun woning. Hun kat Molly overleefde het niet. In een paar minuten stonden ze buiten op slippers met slechts een telefoon en de kleren die ze aan hadden.

Laten we Wendy en Matiss een hart onder de riem steken. Door met z'n allen wat bij te dragen in deze ontzettend ontwrichtende tijd is iets praktisch als geld voor hen één zorg minder. Alle kleine beetjes helpen. En zijn we ontzettend dankbaar voor. Het geld is bedoeld voor kleding, inboedel en steun om de zoektocht naar een nieuwe woning te bevorderen.

Everyone felt welcome there, and if it got too late, you stayed the night: The home of Wendy and Matiss in Hoogblokland. Two hard workers who couldn't have started 2025 worse. They lived in a small, private rental home built in the barn of an old farm. Their budget didn't allow for anything bigger, but they were happy with it and shared in everything. In the night of January 3 to 4, the entire building burned down, including their home. Their cat Molly didn't survive. In a few minutes, they were outside in slippers with only a phone and the clothes they were wearing.
