Who are we? We are Romy, Ilse, Minna, Erik and Naomi! Some of us went to Lesbos before in October 2015, September 2016, January 2017. We can't stop thinking about all the nice people we've met, who are still living at the camp Kara Tepe. So we want to go back!
We don't want to show up empty handed so we are raising money to support the breakfast distribution and the play time with the children on the camp.
Every day we make sure that more than a 1000 people get breakfast.

Kara Tepe?
Kara Tepe is one of the main refugee camps on Lesbos, which is at the forefront of the refugee crisis in Europe. Over 700.000 have passed through the Greek island last year. Refugees reach the shore soaked to the skin; often hypothermic and in deep shock.
Kara Tepe started as a gateway camp, but it is slowly turning into a permanent settlement for many of the refugees that end up there. Some people we met where already for 12 months at the camp.
We will be working together with the organisation Because We Carry.Because We Carry acts according the saying ‘less talk, more action’. On Lesvos, rotating teams of volunteers act to elevate the ongoing human suffering of people arriving on their way to a safe haven. The teams help those arriving on feeble boats on the inhospitable shore, by handing out dry clothes, deliver baby carriers for the long walking journey ahead, and supply the often exhausted people with food. We also aim to bring joy, and spark some hope and respect into this further desperate context.
