12 hours of cycling for ALS!
Every year 500 people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with ALS. A death sentence, because there is not yet a treatment for this debilitating muscle disease. The average life expectancy after the first symptoms is 3 to 5 years. So, ALS patients have no time to lose. More money could accelerate research into ALS and the related diseases PSMA and PLS. Because there is only one way to eradicate ALS: scientific research into the cause and a treatment.
Details about the bike ride, locations and start times are coming soon! Keep an eye on the social media!
How did this bike ride come about?
Due to a lack of racing, Senne Knaven came up with the idea to cycle 12 hours for the ALS foundation July, 15. This way she wants to draw attention to this disease. You can sponsor her and all other riders by donating!
The proceeds of this epic bike ride will go to three foundations committed to the fight against ALS; ALS Netherlands Foundation, MNDA Foundation (United Kingdom) and SLA Foundation (Italy).
