Malang Touray leeft in Banjul, de hoofdstad van Gambia. Het is lastig voor hem om te overleven omdat hij (nadat hij verstoten is uit het kamp waar hij verbleef) ook voor zijn 5 jongere broertjes en 2 zusjes moet zorgen. Zijn moeder overleed in januari 2015, Malang heeft weinig contact met zijn oudere vader. Ondanks ziektes, het regenseizoen en weinig kans op werk probeert Malang zijn kansen en die van zijn familie te vergroten en heeft hij de juiste instelling in het leven. Deze vriendelijke, hartwerkende jongeman heeft 800 dalasi nodig voor het examen van zijn jongere broertje, omgerekend is dit zo'n 11 euro. Omdat hij niet veel te besteden en weinig spaargeld heeft (zo'n 100 dalasi, omgerekend iets meer dan 1 euro) is alle hulp welkom. Persoonlijk vraagt Malang er zelf niet om, alleen kan hij wel een zetje in de goede richting gebruiken. Dus doneer alstublieft wat u kunt missen.
