On 14 April 2024 I will run the Rotterdam marathon (42km) for Misión Huascarán!
Misión Huascarán is a non-profit organisation that seeks to transform the lives of children living in extreme poverty in rural areas of Peru.
It's hard to grasp, but each day these children, starting from the age of four, must walk from one to four hours to go to school. In these rural areas, clean drinking water is hard to find. Most of it contains bacteria and parasites. That's why we want to install filters for clean drinking water at their schools. We also want to give them new (antibacterial) drinking bottles, made from recycled aluminium. Because these children also suffer from malnutricion, we want to support them by providing healthy vitamins and minerals at school.
With 2.500 euro's we can provide 5 schools and in total 500 children with clean drinking water.
My personal Goal:
- Break my personal marathon time of 3.39 hours
Goals for Misión Huascarán:
- Total of 2.500 euro's for 5 schools and 500 children
- For each 500 euro's extra easy acces to clean healthy drinking water for 100 children
- For each 500 euro's extra water supplements in the form of vitamins and minarals for 100 children
- For each 500 euro's extra drinking bottles made of recycled aluminium for 100 children
Thank you for your donation and supporting Misión Huascarán!
